New Mexico ePrescription Mandate

As of April 1, 2021 the State of New Mexico will begin mandating that all controlled substance prescriptions be sent electronically. Software Features

Mandatory e-Prescribing in New Mexico

The State of New Mexico mandates that all controlled substance prescriptions be prescribed electronically.  Beginning April 1, 2021, pharmacists and prescribers (other than a veterinarian) will be required to check the patient’s PMP history before dispensing or prescribing opioids, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, or carisoprodol.

New Mexico Controlled Substances Prescription Monitoring:

Prescribers and dispensers are required to consult the state PMP.  New Mexico PMP AwareRxe prior to prescribing or dispensing a controlled substance other than certain Schedule V drugs.
