As of January 1, 2020 the State of Florida began mandating that all prescriptions be sent electronically. Florida ePrescribing Software supports the state of Florida requirement that all prescription medication be submitted electronically to aide in combating prescription drug abuse.

Software Features

Mandatory e-Prescribing in Florida

Florida House Bill 831 was enacted on June 18th, 2019, and mandates that all prescriptions be electronically prescribed. The effective date is either July 1st, 2021, or upon license renewal (beginning January 1st, 2020) whichever comes first. This was a bipartisan initiative that was amended multiple times in both the Florida House and Senate in an effort to combat opioid abuse and addiction.

Florida Controlled Substances Prescription Monitoring:

Prescribers and dispensers are required to consult the state PMP, E-FORCSE, prior to prescribing or dispensing a controlled substance other than certain Schedule V drugs.
