Illinois ePrescription Mandate

The State of Illinois will mandate all controlled substance prescriptions be sent electronically effective January 1, 2023. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker signed House Bill 3596 into law in July 2021. This Act requires prescribers to electronically prescribe all controlled substance prescriptions by January 1st, 2023 in an effort to combat opioid abuse and addiction.
